A Letter from the Board

Welcome to the Republican River Water Conservation District web page. We intend for this website to be your “Go to” place for all things pertaining to our local water issues.

First, a little information as to who we are:

The RRWCD was formed by the Colorado State Legislature in 2004. The district’s purpose is to aid the State of Colorado, in its obligation to meet the requirements ofthe Republican River Compact with the neighboring states of KS and NE.

The Board is comprised of 17 members, representing, 8 counties, 8 Ground water Management Districts and one position appointed from the Colorado Groundwater Commission. We have Quarterly meetings on the Third Tuesday of February, May, August, and November.

We encourage you to spend some time on the webpage to learn more about who we are and what we are up to. We also invite your input as this Board navigates the perilous world of our future water security in the Republican River Basin.

Sincerely,

Rod Lenz
